Scripture Reading:Psalm 139:1-12 (Key Verses: 7, 8)

Title:“Becoming Whole Again”, Rev. Desiree Lawson

Theme:Psalm 139 is a powerful prayer that puts us in touch with the inescapable presence of God. It is humbling to acknowledge that God knows our beginning and ending and everything we think, say and do in between. Nothing is hidden from God. I wonder if we realize that it is humanly impossible to escape the love of God. Are you struggling to believe the former statement? If so, then my prayer is that you may desire to hear more about the indescribable love of God.

4 Weeks of Prayer: The Great Conversation

Beginning today, May 12, 2019, we will embark on both an individual and corporate Conversation with God. For the next 4 weeks; I have provided a scripture lesson to focus on during your set-aside time with God.  I would recommend keeping a journal for the next 4 weeks to take sermon notes and also to log any revelations you discern along the way.  There will be extra prayer guides available to share with your family and friends.

Onward … Growing in Faith

There are education opportunities throughout the morning allowing options for families.

Sunday school: During the school year, Sunday school for children K – 12th grade is offered during the 9:30am service. Some parents choose to attend worship during this time, while others choose to attend an adult education class and then attend the second service together as a family. Childcare for infants and toddlers is provided throughout the morning from 9:30am–12:00pm. There are additional programmed activities for children throughout the year during the second service. These usually require several weeks of preparation, such as the Christmas Pageant.

Adult Education classes are held during the 9:30am service with additional study groups and workshops offered periodically.

“‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” --NIV Matthew 25.37(b)-40

Mission Statement

As good stewards of the blessings God has provided us, we are called to reach out with hands-on service and with our finances to those beyond our faith community who need our help.

As a team, our mission is to encourage everyone in the church and community to participate actively in Christian outreach and service, and facilitate and coordinate their participation.
