Scripture Reading:John 14:15-27

Title:“The Peace of God”, Matt Crane

Summary:What we know and what we do not know makes all the difference, or at least accounts for a great amount of the difference. It is, of course, true that an assertion such as the preceding one needs a context in order to have relevance. The December 9 sermon will consider the relevance of this assertion in the context of that peace that comes from God.

Onward … Growing in Faith

There are education opportunities throughout the morning allowing options for families.

Sunday school: During the school year, Sunday school for children K – 12th grade is offered during the 9:30am service. Some parents choose to attend worship during this time, while others choose to attend an adult education class and then attend the second service together as a family. Childcare for infants and toddlers is provided throughout the morning from 9:30am–12:00pm. There are additional programmed activities for children throughout the year during the second service. These usually require several weeks of preparation, such as the Christmas Pageant.

Adult Education classes are held during the 9:30am service with additional study groups and workshops offered periodically.

“‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” --NIV Matthew 25.37(b)-40

Mission Statement

As good stewards of the blessings God has provided us, we are called to reach out with hands-on service and with our finances to those beyond our faith community who need our help.

As a team, our mission is to encourage everyone in the church and community to participate actively in Christian outreach and service, and facilitate and coordinate their participation.
