New! Sunday Morning Roundtable – Every Sunday for four weeks

March 17 - April 7, 9:15 -10:15 a.m. in the chapel. 

A new, four-week Christian Education Class began today. This series, titled: Every Sunday a Century, is being led by Matt Crane, and will examine the growth and development of the Christian Church in the first four centuries of its existence.

March 24      Second Century: The Pax Romana, The Didache and The Early Church Fathers and Mothers

March 31       Third Century: In-Fighting, Roman Persecution and the Formation of the Cannon

April 7           Fourth Century: Constantine and the Church’s Ascendency to Political Power

Lenten Soup and Study of Brahms’, A German Requiem

Wednesdays, February 27 - April 10, 6:00-7:30 p.m.

in the Fellowship Hall.

We will begin a study of Brahms’, A German Requiem,on Wednesday, February 27 and continue through Wednesday, April 10. The author describes the study as “an exploration of what the Bible itself has to say about grief and hope in a Christian context”. Soup, bread, and fruit will be served at 6:00 p.m. The study will follow from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Each week we will study one movement of this music and delve deeply into the Biblical passages that are used. Meats & Sweets is the happy partnership of PCIS's traditional chili cook-off with our apple-pie auction. There will be lots of amazing chilis to taste and delicious apple pies to bid on. It’s a great evening of fun and friendship in support of this summer’s Maine Mission trip. We hope you will join us!
